At Dynatrace, we take a proactive approach to data privacy. Our security and privacy controls, described on the “Data protection” page, are designed to meet the requirements of major regulatory frameworks globally.

What data does Dynatrace collect?

Dynatrace provides system observability and security, and as such is focused on systems, not persons. Dynatrace can provide full value to customers without any personal data being shared in Customer Data.

  • Customer data

    Data that is ingested into, and processed by, the Dynatrace Platform from Customer’s data sources, and the data insights generated by the Dynatrace Platform for the benefit of Customer.

  • Account data

    Data about Customer provided to Dynatrace in connection with the administration of the Customer’s Dynatrace account, or as necessary for Customer to use the Dynatrace Offerings.

  • Usage data

    Data and related analysis about deployment, configuration, operation, use, maintenance, and support of the Dynatrace Offerings, and the technology the Customer monitors using the Dynatrace Platform.

Privacy in regions

Dynatrace offers features to empower our customers to configure the Dynatrace platform to meet the specific requirements of regional privacy laws, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other pertinent laws.

This allows our customers to proactively and effectively manage data privacy concerns, ensuring compliance while maintaining optimal performance and insights across their digital environment.
